What is Fukushima Institute for Research, Education and Innovation (F-REI)?
The Fukushima Institute for Research, Education and Innovation (F-REI) is a legal entity that will be established by the Government of Japan as a world-class, core centre for creative reconstruction to realise the revitalization of Fukushima and other parts of the Tohoku region as well as contributing to driving Japan's scientific and technological capabilities and industrial competitiveness (established in Apr. 2023). This institute will promote cooperation between industry hubs created by the initiatives of the Fukushima Innovation Coast Framework and embody and develop the concept further.
